I've gotta take that Sentimental Journey

Sentimental Journey Home...

"Home"is where you feel loved...

fruit, driving truck, and fixing equipment. When age forced him to stop working outdoors he continued working in the shop on equipment. Lon was with the Campbell family over 52 years.

Lon told his family he never thought he would live through Korea and when he did he wanted to make every moment count. Life was precious and needed to be filled with love and joy. And that is how he lived his life. He never met a stranger and always told the people in his life, new and old, “I’m glad you got to see me.” He loved to tell stories and had his Lon-isms. He was a good man. Lon did have a love of vintage cars and was a member of the Vintiques club for many years.

Alonzo is survived by his wife of 63 years, Addie Mae, children, Judy Durey, Kathy Grubenhoff and husband Dennis, Betty Hill Taylor and husband Randy, dear friend Tony Pena and wife Darleen, eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, sister Betty Ruth Garrison, and brothers Morris and James Durey.

He is preceded in death by parents Fletcher and Hazel Durey, brother Travis Durey, son Lonzo Durey, daughter Meredith Stalder, and son-in-law Bob Hill.
