hallauerkeithYAKIMA - Keith A. Hallauer, age 58, passed away Tuesday morning August 23, 2005. Keith was born November 22, 1946, and was raised in the Yakima Valley by his parents, Arthur and Neva Hallauer. After graduating from West Valley High School, he joined the Air Force and served time in Vietnam as a jet engine mechanic. After his period of service, Keith attended Perry Technical Institute. Keith and a long time friend started Orrs Auto Body in April 1974. Keith married his beautiful wife, Linda Omlin, and together they had two kids, Danny and Carrie. In 1979 Keith sold Orrs and started his own body shop known as Vintage Auto Body. Keith specialized in old antique auto restoration and had a skill not surpassed by anyone. Keith's passion for cars began at the young age of thirteen when he brought his first car home, a 1931 Ford Model A Pickup, and restored it from scratch and still kept it in his possession.
Keith was an active member of the American Legion Post #194 in Wiley City. Keith enjoyed spending time with friends and family and going to various car shows and meetings. Keith is survived by his loving and devoted family; his wife, Linda Hallauer; son Danny Hallauer; daughter, Carrie Hallauer and a granddaughter, Anjelica Hallauer, all of Yakima, Wa. and a brother, Dean Hallauer of Seattle, WA. Visitation will be at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on 9th Ave on Thursday, from Noon until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am on Friday at West Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery. Please send all donations to the American Legion Post #194, or the National M. S. Society.
