Our beloved wife, mother, nana, and G.G. was suddenly called home. Sandra Kathleen Coleman (Blowers) was born July 19, 1951, in Yakima, WA to Rose Blowers and Wayne H. Carnes. She was adopted at age 5 by grandparents, Hazel, and David Blowers. She attended high school at AC Davis, class of 1969. In 1971, Sandi married her soulmate, Kenneth Curtis Coleman of Anacortes, WA. While Ken was serving in the Air Force in Minot, ND they welcomed their two children. After their years of military service, Sandi and Ken went to work for the Naches Ranger Station. After 30 years of service, she filled her time with family, friends, quilting, and at the age of 55 got the urge to buy her first Harley Davidson. Motorcycles gave her an amazing and beloved circle of friends who soon became family, alongside her many years as a member of the Vintiques where Ken and Sandi proudly displayed their ’37 Chevy. Family was everything and that was evident in the pride she showed for her son and daughter.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Coleman, daughter Toni Lynne Lane (Steve) of Selah and son, SSG Travis C. Coleman (Shelah) US Army, granddaughters, Joshlyn Swanson and Danielle (Gavin), grandsons, Craig Swanson III of Ellensburg, Travis Coleman Jr, Parker Coleman, Jackson Coleman, one great-grandson, Bentley Bradley Shilley, sisters in law, Von Storme (Gary), Kris Hargitt (Les), and Karen Faulkner (Bill), numerous half brothers and sisters, and many family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church (91 Wernet Loop, Selah, WA 98942) on Friday, August 9, 2019, at 4:00 pm.
